Riverwalk Wilmington Engagement Session with Sumner + Danielle

Sumner and Danielle’s fall engagement session on the Wilmington Riverwalk was the perfect combination of warmth, color, and connection. The day gave us peak autumn energy, crisp air, bold leaves, and an unbelievable sunset that lit the sky and the water with golden tones.

We spent our time walking the scenic path along the Christina River, finding quiet nooks for more intimate portraits and open stretches for those fun, carefree moments. Sumner and Danielle’s chemistry was easy and joyful, and the way they smiled at each other in every frame made this session feel like a glimpse into something truly special.

This session was a celebration of presence and of being fully in the moment together. Whether walking along the water or tucked into the shade of the trees, Sumner and Danielle brought real energy and joy to every frame. Their love for one another was easy to see and even easier to photograph.

Sumner and Danielle are getting married in May 2026 at Dupont Country Club, and if this session was any sign, their wedding day is going to be filled with just as much laughter, emotion, and beautiful energy. I cannot wait to document it.
